Jot cloud cover as well, since overcast days affect pollination even if daytime temps look fine.
Include space for variety-specific triggers. Note when a variety begins setting fruit relative to bloom count and mark when hornworm eggs are first observed if seen. Link observations across weeks; seeing blossom drop after three days of 35°C heat tells you to adjust shading or watering timing before the next heatwave.
Add marginal space for quick sketches—leaf deformities, stem discoloration, or flower clusters. Use a scale like 1 cm = 5 mm for fruit size comparisons.
