1935 Epiphone Embassy Archtop
A 1935 Epiphone Embassy with original P-90 and documented stabilization of lower bout crack.
Serial #C-18277 places this Embassy’s shipment in March 1935 to New York dealer Remick Music, with early ownership in a jazz club band from Newark documented through club membership records. The original P-90 pickup remains untouched, with winding counts and magnet type consistent with early-to-mid 1935 production. The lower bout hairline crack has been stabilized using traditional hide glue and fish-skin patch from the interior, fully photographically documented and logged in our stabilization archive. The refinish was performed in the 1980s by a known East Coast luthier, and the full refinish log—including wood grain tracing notes, lacquer type, and final gloss profile measurements—accompanies the instrument.
