Set-Build Calendar
Pre-configured dependency chains for carpentry, painting, and rigging phases that align with location availability and crew rosters.
The calendar assumes spatial context—each phase maps to zones on your build site model. Carpentry starts at day 1, painting can only begin once carpentry passes inspection, and rigging waits for painted surfaces to cure. Dragging one phase’s end time pushes the others automatically, preserving your physical workflow logic regardless of crew changes or weather delays.
Teams insert this template when a new production starts and link it to their 3D set model. It includes standard layup windows between phases—like 24-hour drying time after primer—but lets you override it if a scene needs a faster turn. You can also layer in location access windows so no painting starts during soundstage rental hours that conflict with lighting tests.
This pattern avoids manual Gantt-style back-flipping. Instead of rebuilding dependency chains per project, you inherit a tested sequence that works across commercials, docs, and features. If a set build fails, the model shows which adjacent phases would be impacted—like a delayed rigging pushing into the first camera rehearsal.
