Scenario branching lets you draft divergent paths for your project timeline—such as ideal vs. delayed construction, failed install sequences, or alternate material deployment—within the same environment. Each branch maintains its own time-parameter curves and component states, so you can revisit, compare, or merge them as decisions evolve. This mirrors real-world design review cycles where multiple options are explored in parallel.
Begin by duplicating the current timeline branch and renaming it—for example, 'Baseline', 'With Weather Delay', or 'Option B Phasing'. Then edit geometry assignments or curve timing on the new branch without affecting others. Switch between branches in the viewer to see side-by-side or overlayed results, helping teams spot logistical bottlenecks or visual inconsistencies.
Use branching to stress-test responses to disruptions—like equipment failures, labor shortages, or weather windows—by shifting key start dates or disabling components. The system stores each branch’s full state, so you can export comparison reports or present options in client meetings. This approach keeps design intent traceable while supporting agile decision-making across disciplines.
