Step into private vineyards and barrel rooms with winemakers themselves—not general staff—during intimate, invitation-only estate tours.
We arrange private visits where the producer—often the owner, winemaker, or long-time vineyard manager—meets you on-site to guide your tasting. These sessions include vineyard walks through specific blocks, explanations of clonal selections, and insights into how terrain and aspect shape each wine. You’ll learn why certain sections are reserved for reserve wines and how vine canopy management adapts to seasonal conditions.
Barrel room access is granted only at estates that welcome small groups for cellar exploration. You’ll taste from barrels not yet bottled, compare cuvées side-by-side, and observe how élevage in different vessels—French oak, neutral puncheons, or amphorae—impacts texture and aging potential. These experiences only unfold when producers choose to host, and we ensure your group arrives at the optimal time for barrel tastings and blending insights.
Because these visits are by appointment only and limited to 6 guests or fewer, planning ahead is essential. We coordinate timing to avoid conflicts with harvest or bottling, and align with seasonal vineyard activity—like bloom or véraison—to enrich the storytelling. Arrive ready for hands-on, immersive engagement: boots on the ground, questions welcomed, stories shared.
