Bus stops often lack real-time signage, so apps may show outdated or no data. Instead, check printed schedules posted at major hubs or consult the official STAR Transit PDF timetable—its printed route maps show actual stop locations more reliably than Google Maps. Buses run on fixed intervals, not headway-based scheduling, so missing one can mean waiting up to 60 minutes depending on the line.
Wheelchairs and strollers board at the front, and fares are flat but cash-only on board—exact change required. Transfer slips are issued on request and valid for 90 minutes. Late nights and Sundays have sparse service; if your destination lies outside the 1X, 3, or 4 corridors, consider combining a bus ride with walking or a short ride-share hop.
