If you see the city differently—through your lens, notebook, or kitchen-table journal—we want to feature it. This is for residents who walk neighborhoods others skip: the alley murals in Pine Hills, the quiet resilience of South Metro commuters, the way West Orange boulevards bloom after spring rains. Submit a photo essay, oral audio clip, or short narrative. We only ask for authenticity, clarity of location, and your permission to share your name. No polished prose required—raw observation is welcome.
Our curation process checks for relevance to Central Florida neighborhoods, respectful representation, and low duplication with existing pieces. We do not rewrite your words or alter your imagery beyond basic cropping for readability. All submissions go live within two weeks of approval, with your byline and optional bio. If your story spans seasonal rhythms—like migration patterns of birds in Wekiva Springs or street festival prep in Maitland—we’ll archive it under related themes.
We suggest keeping each visual series to 8–12 images, with captions describing time, place, and context. Text pieces should stay under 1,200 words. Stories about home shifts, cultural rituals, or unexpected joy in daily routine resonate most. Past favorites include a photoessay on Orlando’s quiet laundromats and a memoir on learning to swim at Lake Natoma at age 62. Your voice—unfiltered—is the point.
