Parking Pulse
Find open street parking, garage availability, and alternate-side-scheduling reminders by ZIP.
Parking Pulse pulls from city data on street cleaning schedules and real-time garage sensors where available. It shows which blocks currently have active alternate-side rules—like every Tuesday morning in much of Brooklyn—and cross-references them with current day/time. This helps you avoid tickets before you park, especially during shift changes or long meetings.
Garage availability is shown only where the city provides open data, so coverage varies by borough. Manhattan has denser real-time feeds, while other areas may show scheduled availability or historical patterns. The tool highlights ZIP areas with known gaps so you’re not misled by stale data. It’s most accurate for same-day decisions, not reservations months ahead.
Street parking indicators are simplified: green for likely open, yellow for mixed or shifting, red for restricted. You can filter by permit zones or disabled spots, useful for planning day-trips to quieter parts of Queens or the Bronx. The interface avoids noise—no crowd-sourced guesses—just verified restriction triggers and sensor-backed signals.
