When simulations support permit submissions or client sign-offs, documentation of every change is essential—not just for revision control but for satisfying audit requirements. The Sandbox records who made a change, what was modified (e.g., activity duration, sequence order, annotation content), and when, in an immutable log. This ensures traceability for projects under strict codes like LEED, ISO 19650, or local building regulations.
Timeline shifts, such as rescheduling key milestones or delaying critical path items, generate specific audit entries with before-and-after values. These entries can be filtered by user, date range, or simulation version, allowing teams to reconstruct why a particular sequence emerged or validate that no unauthorized edits occurred. The logs are exportable in structured formats like JSON or CSV for internal review or external submission.
Annotations added during peer reviews or client workshops are also logged with their context—such as simulation state, time step, and linked geometry—so changes can be correlated with decision points. This granular traceability supports post-project analysis, dispute resolution, or lessons learned, without requiring manual documentation or external tracking tools.
